Global Entrepreneurship Monitor – Northern Ireland Report 2020

Queen’s University Belfast has developed a research paper, the 2020 Global Entrepreneurship Monitor.

The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) is an international project, involving 43 economies (in 2020), which seeks to provide information on the entrepreneurial landscape of countries.

Levels of entrepreneurial activity are a vital sign of any economy. It has been shown that the creation of new ventures is positively connected to the drivers of economic growth and productivity through increased innovation, competition and job creation.

The report provides international benchmark data for entrepreneurial activity in Northern Ireland, on a comparable basis.
