Tech Nation has launched its latest round of growth programmes, aimed at both early-stage companies and entrepreneurs to large, successful tech firms. The programmes’ scope includes scaling smaller companies and addressing leadership challenges in larger firms by offering funding, networking and mentoring advice across the seven strands.
Featuring programmes that are aimed specifically at Artificial Intelligence green technologies and FinTech, the Libra programme also offers support to founders of tech companies from a black or minority ethnic background.
Applied AI
Applied AI is Tech Nation’s first growth programme for Artificial Intelligence to help the UK’s most promising founders who are applying AI in practical areas and creating real-world impact. The programme is based on peer-to-peer support and the shared experience of later-stage founders, all curated under the values of honesty, intimacy and trust.
To be eligible, your company could focus on anything from mobility to manufacturing, from e-commerce to healthcare, but your product must solve an identified, real problem.
Fintech
Tech Nation’s Fintech programme is tailor-made to support founders and the wider leadership team for UK fintech and insurtech companies. It consists of insights sessions delivered by some of the most established fintech entrepreneurs, investors and partners which give cohort members the tools and knowledge they need to scale. The programme lasts for six months and includes an in-depth induction, a series of learning sessions and networking events with key stakeholders.
Fintech 5.0 is now accepting applications. If you’re an early stage up-and-coming fintech or insurtech company – this is the programme for you.
Future Fifty
The Future Fifty programme is aimed at the most successful tech companies in the UK and is designed to support founders and leadership teams to address challenges unique to them.
The programme aims to deliver valuable peer-to-peer learning, facilitating an open dialogue between experienced entrepreneurs and founders, with in-depth masterclass sessions run by seasoned coaches, who can help guide you on your way.
Libra
Libra is a springboard for underrepresented founders in the UK who are growing and seeking specific support for their scale journey.
The Libra 2.0 programme will focus on companies with at least one ethnic minority founder with lived experience of little or no access to capital and commercial and networking opportunities to help them access equal opportunity in their scale journey. In addition, to qualify, a company must already be already at the seed funding stage and have the ambition to scale and grow fast.
The free, non-residential, six-month programme is centred around themed insights sessions, delivered by some of the most established entrepreneurs, covering topics such as raising series A, selling into corporates, scaling your operations and expanding internationally. The programme will focus on peer-to-peer learning and the cohort companies sharing the challenges in their own individual journeys. During networking events, the cohort will also be introduced to key stakeholders and decision-makers within corporates, investment firms, government bodies, and others. Additionally, the Libra programme offers access to the cross-programme sessions hosted by Tech Nation sector programmes focused on Fintech and Applied AI and Net-Zero.
Net Zero & Net Zero X
With 40% of emissions reductions reliant on technologies not yet commercially deployed on a mass-market scale. Tech nation is launching Net Zero 3.0 to support scale-ups to achieve scale and accelerate the UK’s goal to drive down global emissions. The programme is seeking early-stage scaleups which operate across key sectors, including electricity & energy, transport & mobility, agriculture, food systems, manufacturing and building technology.
The Net Zero X programme is designed to support the growth of climate tech companies with high-emissions reduction and exponential potential. The aim of the programme is to reduce the carbon funding gap, counter the climate tech ‘valley of death’ and connect climate tech founders to investors, corporates, partners, policy-makers and other stakeholders. This will help shape the ecosystem founders need to succeed.
Currently, only 25% of total funding raised in climate tech is being channelled into the technologies that hold 81% of the total emissions reduction potential required to achieve net zero. Net Zero X is being launched in partnership with PwC. Companies will benefit from Tech Nation and PwC’s expertise, investor & corporate network, and mentorship.
