On Friday 12 April, MATRIX and NISP Connect are jointly hosting an Enterprise Forum at W5 to discuss the development of Intelligent Energy System solutions, which will integrate distributed renewable energy and storage capability to the existing grid, using technologies which measure, analyse and control the flow of energy.

The event will coincide with the launch of the MATRIX Sustainable Energy report. It will make a series of recommendations for Northern Ireland. It will report that Intelligent Energy Systems can provide significant export opportunities for Northern Irish businesses in a global market, which is estimated to be worth £8 billion in 2018.

The Enterprise Forum will provide a platform whereby representatives from energy companies, providers, academics and investors will be able to discuss the opportunities Intelligent Energy Systems can provide. It will be moderated by Toby Copple, Partner in the Virgin Green Fund and one of the main speakers is David Surplus, Chair of the MATRIX Sustainable Energy Panel.

The Sustainable Energy Report has been produced by the MATRIX Sustainable Energy Horizon Panel. The panel comprises 15 industry experts and academics from a range of sustainable energy backgrounds.
