Why it matters now?

Several recent collaborations demonstrate the potential of this cross-industry approach, such as Destination X – combining the appeal of Twitch streamer favourite GeoGuessr with 10 participants in a 10 x 75′-90′ reality programme or The Traitors, based on popular game Mafia (whose mechanics were later built into the pandemic hit game Among Us) with the charm of mysterious host Claudia Winkleman.

These examples highlight how combining the creativity and business acumen of both industries can generate compelling content that appeals to today’s diverse and dynamic viewer base.
