Matrix NI has launched a video series exploring how Regulatory Technology (RegTech) is transforming compliance, risk management, and digital governance in Northern Ireland and beyond.
‘RegTech’ has been traditionally associated with the highly regulated financial sector, but the same technology has the potential for being employed in any regulated industry for company compliance. The Matrix NI ‘RegTech’ videos cover the themes of how and why Northern Ireland is leading in this area and how it can be applied across multiple industries and sectors.
Matrix NI is an industry led panel advising government and informing academia and industry on the commercial exploitation of R&D and science and technology and following its recent report on Regulatory Technology the video series explores the themes further, bringing together leading experts from industry, technology, academia and regulation to share insights.
Robert Hill (Matrix Chair) commented:
“As the landscape of regulation becomes increasingly complex, the need for innovative solutions to streamline compliance processes, enhance transparency, and mitigate risk continues to grow”.
I would encourage businesses to take a look at the videos to gain knowledge in this area, as the forward-thinking perspectives of the contributors demonstrate how organisations can thrive in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.”
Northern Ireland is already a leader in ‘RegTech’ with more people involved in the industry in Belfast per capita than London and it has developed a strong cluster; and is well placed benefitting from a multi-jurisdictional environment. The videos examine how Northern Ireland has the potential to become a global hub for Reg Tech innovation.
