At the December Matrix panel meeting, Mark Magill from the Economic Policy Centre at UU gave a presentation on the Northern Ireland Skills Barometer, a skills forecasting tool which is being sponsored by the Department for Employment and Learning over a 3 year period.
The barometer is based on a high growth forecast scenario and it outlines a demand of approximately 29,000 jobs from education and migration between 2015 and 2025.
