Engineers Without Borders UK presents the Constructive Conversations series. A space to discuss, challenge, and listen to some of the most pressing issues that must be interrogated to put global responsibility at the heart of engineering.
During this session, EWBUK explore one of the principles of globally responsible engineering: Regenerative. To actively restore and regenerate ecological systems, rather than just reducing impact.
This event will feature a panel discussion, with speakers from all areas of engineering and beyond who can provide their insight. They will then facilitate an interactive discussion to allow attendees to explore how they can put the principle into action.
The session will be facilitated by Engineers Without Borders UK Change Maker and incoming Executive Director of KDI, Joe Milligan. The panellists he will be joined by include:
Olivia Sweeney, an environmentalist and one of Bristol’s Black and Green Ambassadors, a project that explores the intersection of climate and racial justice by connecting and celebrating diverse community action for the environment.
Diego Almendrades, is an engineer and social entrepreneur with a passion for holistic management and ecosystem restoration in the Dry Forest of Peru.
Dan Smith, is a sustainability professional with over a decade of international experience. He is currently leading the development of a new digital venture for environmental planning and permitting in the European offshore wind sector.
