Dr Josh Bailey, a Research Fellow in SMAE, is one of six CASE (Centre for Advanced Sustainable Energy) researchers who will be putting on stalls at NI Sustainability Fairs as part of the NI Science Festivals. The NI Sustainability Fairs represent a long-term project designed to explore what we must do to meet to achieve a planet in balance, one that provides for humanity and the millions of other species.
The theme of CASE’s stalls is ”Clean Energy Revolution – the future is now” where the latest research going on at QUB and UU around renewable energy and related sustainable solutions will be shared with the public. This encompasses hydrogen, batteries, anaerobic digestion, food waste, wind and tidal energy, photovoltaics and solar thermal, amongst other environmental issues.
Located in 2 Royal Avenue, a range of local, national and international organisations will be demonstrating a variety of practical ways that they are trying to make a real difference for the planet and what we can do to lend a hand.
