PUBLIC EVENT

It is hard to under-estimate the importance of COP26 for reaching global agreement on decarbonisation pathways and financing packages that match the urgency and scale of the climate crisis. In the wake of COP26, our final Ask the Engineers panel will review what has been achieved at the summit and whether it has helped to accelerate progress towards a just transition to net zero emissions by 2050.

The engineering profession can offer solutions, but must work ambitiously and collaboratively to drive change. Our crucial offering to this monumental challenge relies on engineers being engaged alongside policy makers, economists and the public.

Has COP26 set the UK on a decisive pathway to net zero?
