This webinar is targeted at academic researchers (UK research organisations only). It will provide further information and questions and answers opportunity to prospective applicants of the new UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) cross-council funding opportunity ‘artificial intelligence research to enable UK’s net zero target’.
Attendees from a variety of research disciplines and career stages are welcomed, but an interest in investigating solutions to net zero challenges using artificial intelligence is essential.
Projects will explore the use of artificial intelligence in addressing net zero challenges across 4 themes with research proposals crossing any 2 council’s remits of EPSRC, NERC, BBSRC, ESRC. The 4 themes are:
- energy
- transport
- environment
- agriculture and food systems
Prospective applicants will find out further information regarding the opportunity scope, proposal requirements, eligibility, as well as the type of projects and themes that UKRI is looking to support.
Applicants to the opportunity must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for funding during the duration of their project.
