Over 200 FE students will showcase their creativity and innovation in STEM projects at the 5th annual BEST event in Belfast’s Ramada Plaza Hotel on the 27th May.
The BEST Awards are open to students from Northern Ireland’s (NI) six regional FE colleges and offer an annual competition linked to their studies in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The awards were created to support students in their project based learning throughout the year and showcase entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation across the FE sector. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and speak to students exhibiting, network with lecturers and senior staff from the six FE College and view the array of skills in the STEM area available across the FE sector.
The list of invitees includes local politicians and representatives from businesses and post primary schools. The NI Assembly, Employment and Learning Committee will also host their weekly meeting at the venue, after which the MLAs will have the opportunity to view the exhibitions.
