Technology experts from global companies such as Google, Bitnet and Datasnap will be flying into Belfast from 29th April until 1st May to address digital enthusiasts at this year’s BelTech conference.

The event, which is curated by Northern Ireland based digital solutions provider Kainos, will profile Belfast as a top European technological hub and provide a platform for some of the most successful local talent to showcase how they are breaking the mould at the cutting edge of the industry.

Business leaders from around the world, including Katie Atkinson from Datasnap and Ian Loughran from Google, will give delegates up to date analysis of emerging technologies and market trends designed to help them to compete on a global level.

Throughout the two day conference speakers from local and global high tech organisations will allow attendees to gain a more detailed understanding of the people, the products and innovation at a series of workshops and keynote presentations.

Several sessions have been set aside for educational purposes to encourage and inspire the next generation to choose a career in IT.

Speaking at the launch of BelTech, Tom Gray, Chief Technology Officer at Kainos and MATRIX panel member, said: “This year’s BelTech will provide a valuable insight into the talent and innovation that Northern Ireland has to offer and Kainos is delighted to be able to support the development of the industry by sponsoring the event.

“Technological advances stemming from local businesses are crucial to the economic success of the country. A high profile event like this will highlight our digital capabilities and provide a platform for our local talent to be seen in action by potential inward investors.”
