About the Funding
The Department for the Economy is always looking for ways to actively support innovative Northern Ireland companies. A partnership with Innovate UK has helped make this possible by funding 40 Northern Ireland companies, all of which had applied to the 2021 Innovate UK Covid-19 Fast Start Competition and the Covid-19 Sustainable Innovation Fund. These companies had all successfully achieved the funding threshold, but had originally missed out on the opportunity due to budget limitations.
