DESCRIPTION:SBRI Healthcare – Competition 20 – Health Inequalities in maternity care and Autism and Learning Disabilities\n\n\nThe Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) Healthcare\, in collaboration NHS England and NHS Improvement is pleased to announce the launch of a new competition for funding to develop solutions to challenges in: \n\nHealth Inequalities in maternity care\n\n\nAutism and Learning Disabilities\n\nFurther details will be outlined in the competition brief\, available shortly on the SBRI Healthcare website. \n\n\nCompetition launch 23 May 2022 \n\n\nAt the briefing webinar you will have the opportunity to discover more about the competition challenge\, how to apply to the programme and to ask any questions directly to clinical experts in the sector. \nThe day will feature presentations from: \n\nThe SBRI Healthcare team\nSubject matter experts\nThe AHSNs\n\n\n\nThe Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) Healthcare is an NHS England and NHS Improvement funded initiative which aims to help develop solutions that address unmet health needs in order to improve patients’ lives and support NHS efficiency. \nEach year SBRI Healthcare provides funding to innovative new products and services with the potential to improve patient outcomes and delivery of health services within specific health challenges. \nCompetitions are open to any organisations of any size from the private\, public and third sectors\, including charities and Trusts. The organisations applying need to demonstrate a clear route to market for their products or solutions. \nThe SBRI scheme is particularly suited to small and medium-sized businesses\, as the contracts are of relatively small value and operate on short timescales for Government departments. SUMMARY:techUK Quantum Report Launch: Positioning the UK for Success - Commercialising Quantum in the UK
DESCRIPTION:On 24 May techUK is launching its first Quantum Report\, which will set out how UK Government\, industry and academia can work together to achieve quantum commercialisation in the UK\, and ensure the UK becomes a world leader in quantum technologies. Part of techUK’s Commercialising Quantum Campaign #QuantumUK \nQuantum technologies are set to play a formidable role in unlocking innovation both in the UK and internationally\, enabling previously unattainable technological advancements in drug discovery\, protein-folding\, carbon capture\, battery research\, and more. Such advancements will have a profound and positive impact in the UK as we build on our position as a science and technology leader and turn academic strength in quantum into economic success. \nIn this event\, we will be bringing together leading voices in UK’s quantum ecosystem to celebrate the launch of techUK’s first Quantum Report\, developed in collaboration with techUK’s Quantum Working Group and summation of techUK’s year long Quantum Commercialisation Campaign. This report will call for UK Government and industry to set clear commercial ambitions together\, outlining the five key areas that are integral for commercial success\,  and to give UK-based and international businesses the confidence that the UK is a place to achieve quantum commercial viability. \nWe will be joined in person by a full panel of industry speakers for a hour long panel\, followed by the opportunity to network in the techUK office.
