Hacktoberfest 2019 is fast approaching, so we want to make sure that once it arrives we’re ready to go! Join us on Tuesday 1st October at our kickoff event hosted by Liberty IT to find about about how you can get involved in Hacktoberfest (and maybe even get a couple of your pull requests opened by the end of the event!)
What is Hacktoberfest
Hacktoberfest is a month-long celebration of open source software. Maintainers are invited to guide would-be contributors towards issues that will help move the project forward, and contributors get the opportunity to give back to both projects they like, and ones they’ve just discovered. No contribution is too small—bug fixes and documentation updates are valid ways of participating. You just need to submit 4 quality pull requests against public GitHub repositories by the end of October.
Who is Hacktoberfest for?
Absolutely anybody who wants to take part. There are open issues aimed at all levels of experience, so there’s something out there for everyone to get involved with.
